What are eveyone's thoughts about raining on carpet at the new dojo?  I have a bit of a graze on my foot today which ended up with a big chunk of skin coming of the bottom of my foot, which I don't think was help by the carpet (particularly when twisting your foot for tihngs like mawashageri's).  Do you think there is anything I can wear on my feet that might help, maybe lightweight ankle supports that cover the bottom of your foot?  Any ideas/thoughts?

Maybe something like this http://www.blitzsport.com/prodinfo.asp?number=58-03 ???

Hi Ian

Sorry to hear about the lump of skin leaving your foot, the carpet may just need a clean (builders dust), I will have to keep an eye on it for now.

I can't see them replacing the carpet though  - sorry.

those ankle supports may be ok Ian , it all depends on whether they cause you to slip when doing any kicks or other stuff . I remember on marble and wooden floors i have come a cropper a few times when wearing that type , may be ok on carpet though .
