Let's make this forum thrive

Watsoever 09-17-2006, 1:21 AM

My son has recently joined the Newham class on Thursday nights and I have taken it upon myself to join the forum. Please for give me for being too forward with this post (especially being a newbie) but I have noticed that not many of us are using it and feel this is a shame of a great website going to waste. C'mon guys, let's communicate. Let's get this forum thriving. I'm sure even only chit chat will be a good thing (am I right or wrong). Get to know each other, swap tips and information, ask questions, tell us what you think. If someone has a problem, I'm sure a member will be able to help. We're here for each other. That's what a forum is all about, being a community. Let's put it to good use. Sue Big Smile [:D]

Hi Sue, glad to see you are trying to make use of the forum, I hope you get a good response from the other people at the club.  Just a reminder that if there is anything you would like to chat about with the wider audience of all the ELWK clubs then please feel free to post in the 'ELWK Chat' forum.

Cheers

Ian

Hi Ian, well I hope I get a good response, all for the good of the club. As you can probably tell, I love to communicate. Like to get to know people. Probably got too much time on my hands, lol. What club are from?

Hi Sue

We need more people like yourself to get things moving, the idea of the web site is to keep every one posted on what's going on, all courses, competitions, weekend camp etc. - also it lets people know what the Instructors are up to as well - this year alone we have been on Instructor courses in Walsall, somewhere near Gatwick ? & Portugal! (read the write ups). We also have been invited to attend the European Wado Kai Championships in November coupled with training with Japanese Masters (if they come over).

Good luck with the forum - over to you!

regards

ken

Hi Ken, I have read all the information of whats been happening/future up coming events and seen the pics from all the clubs. It's a very interesting website and check daily for anything new. I hope my son continues to attend his classes. I'll be taking my decent camera along to his next one to take some pics for the website (Mike's request) I hope that would be ok with you. Unfortunately the pics I took last week didn't come out very well so I didn't email them to you, but the next ones should be ok so I'll send them to you on Friday. I'll be giving the website a boost on Thursday, hope it works. I wondered if you have any leaflets you could send me, and I'll give them out at my son's school to see if we can interest new members. Above all, keep up the great work with the website!!! Sue Big Smile [:D]

I'm from the Guildhall club (up in the city) and train under Ken.  Thanks for the positive feedback on the website - I designed and set up the site, although Ken now looks after the actual content.  Any other feedback/requests/suggestions for the site would be welcome.

Cheers,

Oh Mike, forgot to mention, may have a new student for ya. Just waiting to hear back. My stepson Shane used to do karate a few years ago and is at red belt. Apparently used to go to Beckton for his club. Didn't go for few classes and was taken off list, lost interest after that. But now he's 11 he said at weekend he might want to get back to it again. So hopefully will start to attend your class in the near future. God I'm soooo nice, lol. Sue Big Smile [:D]

Hoping to see a few new members joining the website. A few did request the address on Thursday night which Mike happily gave them, so hope to see them on here soon getting involved in the forum topics.Big Smile [:D]
