Found a link to this site from Iain Abernethy's forum http://www.hillcrestjujitsu.com/jujitsu_techniques.html, basically short video clips of Juijitsu techniques. I've only looked at a few but it was interesting to see the video title 'Rising block & punch, lock & sweep (Chris)' which is pretty much what we were trying out last night. I guess this shows some of the Jiujitsu influence in Wado-Ryu.... Also would just like to say how much Kev & myself enjoyed the stuff we were doing last night, and we both look forward to more stuff like that.

Cheers

Hi Glad you enjoyed it, as I recover from my injury we will do more pair work as we go along

but remember we should try to master those breakfalls before getting into much more

the main rules with the throws/ takedowns is to always be compliant at first to drill the techniques, keeping as relaxed as possible - go with the throw (at first), & never be too proud to tap out - keep injury free & have fun.

My son Paul should be coming along tomorrow lunchtime & he will be able to demonstrate more of the groundwork techniques to you even though he is not training as regular as should be at the moment ( he works night shifts) he has been around on the ground for a few years now, let's hope he makes it!

see you then!
