Help on my day of need
Reply Quote

It is not until something really unfortunate happens that you realise who yuor friends are.

This happened yesterday when I left my bag containing all my gear, including a brand new Gi delivered two days before, on the train at Liverpool Street station.  It just happened to be on the day of my grading.

Ken sent an e-mail round everyone that morning asking everyone to see if the could provide something for me to wear.

The Gi Tom Kempton lent me fitted almost perfectly.

I graded successfully thanks to everyone's efforts.

I have recovered th bag with its contents.  They were taken off the train when it returned to Gidea Park.

Pleased to hear that everything came right in the end.  I know what you mean about friends, I found out who mine where last year (though not all karate) when I made a hash of things with a couple of plp when I didn't intend to.

Anyway we have the competition coming up soon (April 22nd) and I'm intending to put up some stuff about competition rules, and do some kind of newsletter.  The rules as before will be modified a bit from the standard ones, to make it a bit fairer.....more later.
